Does Norway have a recreational use program?

No, Norway does not have a recreational use program. It is against the law to possess, grow, sell, or distribute cannabis for recreational purposes in Norway.

 

Does Norway have a medical program?

Yes, medical cannabis is legal in Norway. In Norway, medical marijuana is currently legal, but it is heavily regulated, and you need to see a specialist to obtain a prescription.

 

What are the rules for medical use?

A doctor must be able to prove that all other treatment options have failed before prescribing medicinal cannabis. All things considered, cannabis should only be a last choice.

To prescribe cannabis products with a THC content greater than 1%, the physician must also be a specialist in a hospital and obtain authorization.

 

What are the qualifying medical conditions for eligibility?
