Is cannabis decriminalized in Latvia?

No, cannabis is not decriminalized in Latvia. A small quantity of cannabis used for personal use can land you in jail for up to 15 days or fined and require community service.

Selling cannabis has a maximum punishment of three years in prison for little amounts and up to fifteen years for bigger amounts, as well as additional penalties for selling it close to schools or to children.

For small amounts, growing cannabis can result in a 2-year prison sentence; for greater amounts, the sentence can be up to 10 years.
